Colorectal cancer is among the most preventable of cancers. Removing precancerous polyps stops them from ever becoming malignant. And yet in the U.S. more than 50,000 people die from colorectal cancer each year. Help raise awareness for colorectal cancer screening.

The goal is to have at least 80% of U.S. adults to be up-to-date with recommended colorectal cancer screening. The national 80% in Every Community campaign kicks off on March 7 with two social media events, and we hope you will participate and help spread the word.

Mayo Clinic will be in Atlanta – home of ACS, CDC and UPS – for two events:

• In the morning, we’ll have a tailgating-themed event from the UPS suite at Mercedes-Benz stadium, with entertaining and informational interviews. This will be streamed on Facebook Live from our Mayo Clinic page beginning at 10 a.m. ET. It’s the pre-game to the afternoon’s main event.
• At 2 p.m. we’ll broadcast the national signature event from the American Cancer Society auditorium in Atlanta. It will be on the ACS Facebook page, and you can sign up to host a watch party.
