Feb 24, 2022 | Sarah Palmer | @sarahpalmer

Please join us in welcoming Paulina Guajardo to Mayo Clinic Volunteer Programs! Paulina is a college student involved in our College Volunteers program. You may see Paulina volunteering at the Eisenberg Subway Welcome Desk at Methodist or visiting inpatients with the hospitality cart at Saint Marys.

Q: Are you originally from the Rochester area? If not, where else have you lived?
A: I was born in Rochester and have lived here most of my life, but I did live in Mexico for a year when I was younger.

Q: When you aren't volunteering, what else do you like to do?
A: I enjoy reading books, watching TV shows with my mom, and hanging out with my friends.

Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A: Books, so I don't get bored; bug spray; and a swimsuit so I can go swimming.

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: Going to college. I'm a first generation college student, and my parents always made education a priority, so I'm really glad I'm going to college.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Mayo Clinic?
A: The history of Mayo Clinic. I love history, and learning new things is very interesting to me, so when I learned about the Mayo Brothers, I was very intrigued.

Welcome to the team, Paulina!
