I have constant burning on right thigh pain with the swelling going down to my ankles. Now I'm having numbness on my left foot. I've been to several doctors and they all tell me something different. I have lower back & pelvic arthritis which I was told from the last doctor i saw. I don't believe this would be why I have the swelling when I'm sitting and standing. It feels better when I lay down.
pk – I was diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy as well – I have seen a neurologist who asked me to see another nerve doctor -I have this appointment tomorrow. During the day I have a lot of burning pain in my upper right thigh but I don’t want to take any pain medicine since I am still working full time. Do you take a Turmeric pill or do you cook with it? It sounds like it is helping you with your pain? I don’t have any headaches but having a lot of pain in both of my legs. I have a small tumor on the L5 nerve root and have arthritis & herniated disk on lower back so I’m sure it has a lot to do with it. This past winter I made a delicious broth with it but need to start using it again. Very curious about the Turmeric. THANK YOU!!

I know – I’m trying to delete all of these messages as well! This is insane!! I would like to receive the neurothopy messages ONLY!
Thank you. I was just diagnosed with neuropathy recently- I have burning pain in both of my legs – a few other things too – not sure if they are related though. I have another appointment with another neurosurgeon on August 31st. I didn’t realize their was cell loss with neuropathy.. I have horrible pain when I go to bed at night – and they found a very small sheath tumor on my nerve root – L5 so I’m wondering. This whole neuropathy is confusing because everyone is so different. I have never been on chemo or do I have diabetes. I do have osteoporosis and lower back arthritis & herniated disk. I also have Polycystic Liver & Kidney disease – I had 3/4 of my liver removed about 16 years ago and a kidney transplant actually almost 11 years ago. I have aches and pains sometimes arms and shoulders but just thought that I’m getting older so par for the course..lol – I have many questions.
Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you – What is RLS stand for? I would love to go to the Mayo Clinic but my insurance will not pay for my visit since there are doctors I can use locally. I may change my insurance in December so I can see someone at the Mayo Clinic. THANK YOU!
That is a great idea. I will make up a list of questions for the neurologist. I was even thinking of purchasing a journal and writing down all the information I have. I’ve been to 3 other doctors and they don’t explain to you about what to expect. I was handed a referral to go to the neurologist and on the referral form it stated i was going for the consult because of Peripheral neuropathy but he didn’t even tell me what it was. I guess I should of asked the question but after the 4 MRI’s and he told me that there was no tumors/cancer I was so happy about it I didn’t even look at the referral until I left his office. Thank you so much!!
