This is not your time to see a counselor or therapist. I went several years with meds as the main focus. Then about 3 years ago I did/am seeing a therapist. I do not know what I would do without her…Here is a toast to your happiness.

Yes Piglet. It is important to confide with your counselor and to feel at ease – even better. The therapist’s expertise is also important. My therapist engages in “Active Listening.” She does not focus on advice. She also told me that this is because what is good for one person may not be good for another.
Hello BHS, I am very comfortable with my psychotherapist and psychiatrist. With a psychotherapist the chemistry between you and he/she is important. And it may take a while to share your problems. A psychiatrist specializes in prescribing psychiatric meds. I am also comfortable with her. Please understand. What I write works well with me. It might not work with someone else according to my therapist. I pray now that you will find what works for you. I will remember you in my prayers.
