May 22, 2012 · HI, I have gastro paresis and am having a hard time adjusting. in Just Want to Talk

HI, I have gastro paresis and am having a hard time adjusting. I can’t look for a job, I graduated college in Dec. 2011 and diagnosed with stomach paralysis in Dec. 2011 also. My symptoms are severe abdominal pain and severe na usea, that lasts from 12 hrs. to 72 hrs. By the 3rd day I go to the emergency room, with dehydration and extremely high blood pressure (stroke level). I am at my wits end! The only relief that I find during these episodes is laying in a hot bath for hrs and hrs, waiting for my somach to finally empty. after many hrs of puking (to no avail) I will release a gallon of green liquid, and bam the episode is over, pain gone, nausea gone. I am becoming scared to eat anything but liquid. I have lost 50 lbs since Dec. 2011. I see a Gastro Interolosgist on June 15th. Not soon enough.

May 22, 2012 · Nausea in Digestive Health

No, we cannot take a tub with us. I am 43 yrs old and have been to the emergency room 8 times since Dec. 2011, with severe abdominal pain and severe nausea. I have been diagnosed with Gastro Paresis ( Stomach Paralysis). My stomach does not empty properly due to diabetic neropathy in my stomach. My sever syptoms last 12 hrs. to 72 hrs. The only thing that brings me ANY type of relief is a hot bath. I have lost 50 lbs since Dec. and I have an appointment with a GI doctor in June. This has made me very unreliable and undependable, because when it does it, it consumes me. I am having a hard time, living on pureed food. I will start looking at gluten free foods as well. I do know that I cannot digest red meat of kind, not ground, not pureed. NO RED MEAT, nothing fried and no pork of any kind. Mashed potatoes and jello and creamy soups, lots of broth. IM STARVING!
