Dec 31, 2011 · Autoimmune Disease in About Kids & Teens

My daughter was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis when she was 2 years old. She has been taking immunosuppressant drugs for over 4 years now and has had 2 flare ups since her diagnosis.
She has recently developed some strange looking lesions about pea sized on her nose and forehead that scab over.
I had been keeping her on a gluten-free diet until the past 4 months. The doctor always told me that I was silly to restrict her diet as gluten has nothing to do with her disease.
Any experience out there with any of this?
