I have auto immune hymolitic anemia with both warm and cold antibodies. Usually life threatening for most people because of not knowing where to go. Thanks! What else can we do?
I am finally off steroids and will be stopping Rituxan soon. This after 8 years of living with AIHA. I had both a warm and a cold antibodies. I have found successful treatments, alternatives, and more….now I what to hear your story! HOW TO LIVE with a life threading illness.
WOW, I am a patient off and on at Mayo Clinic and had no idea this site was here.
Now my wish is we can all get the word out. My personal medical experiences are long and difficult and Mayo Clinic has been amazing. From the Chiefs right down the line each staff member is caring and skilled. Your staff are “nice”, to me that is huge— since “nice” doesn’t cost a thing! Now, if we can only get the world to recognize the benefits of your knowledge, research, treatment and impact. This is a great start!
I take APIS. It is homeopathic and I got it from my naturalist, talking along side of my many other hematology treatments including steroids. My Dr. Is aware of it and agreed to watch and draw blood to check the effects of taking 2 drops older my tongue once a week. My hemoglobin went from 7 to 9 in two weeks and in one month was at 12. In less than 2 months it settled in at 14. I am a pretty happy person. I looked for help for 6 years, this is the first thing I found that worked for me. Good Luck!
I had the band, and put almost all the weight back 2 years later, even watching what I eat. It is hard when your metabolism slows down because you starve it. So with me anything I eat caused weight gain. I would have never done it, if I knew then what I know now!
