Not one to buck the Lord, however, a more practical solution might be for you to check a few places. 1) many hospitals offer free stop smoking classes with support groups. 2) Many states also have free smoke enders meeting and support groups. 3) Stop smoking and stop hanging with anyone that smokes in your presence.
If they are truly your friends, they will honor your wish not to smoke when you are present.
I quit after 55 years of smoking 3 packs a day, 8 cigars and an occasional pipe. I always had something smoking somewhere. I just desided it was time to let go of the smokes. (Of course I am stage 3 COPD, Emphysema, and one lung, so the doctors said quit or buy a coffing so I quite…… but ot be safe I paid for my cremation just to avoid the rush when I pass.)
