Oct 11, 2011 · Slipping farther and farther with no grip! Help! in Digestive Health

I came down with fibromyalgia in 1986 following the trauma of my dad and 17 year old son suddenly. This was before the CDC recognized it as a disorder (1993). The only person I listen to today re: fibro or chronic fatigue syndrome is the doctor who wrote "From Fatigued to Fantastic", Dr. Teitelbaum (sp??). Email me your address and I will fwd his newsletter to you. Dr. T. had chronic fatigue syndrome while in med school and had to take a leave for a year. He has been there and is very committed to natural remedies. I cannot take chemical drugs. I have had more success with Dr. T. than all of the other tdoctors put together (and you can imagine how many doctors I saw).

I have been on Prolia for 3 hrs and have no significant increase in bone density. The last shot caused severe hip and lower leg pains. I do not think I will continue with Prolia.

Oct 11, 2011 · How can I get my doctor look from the "real" problems. in Women's Health

Why not try a D.O.. I find that they look for the root problem instead of doctoring with drugs. Allopathic doctors listen, test, and prescribe according to test results. A D.O. listens intently, takes a thorough history with more questions than you will want to answer! I went through years of symptoms, doctor hopping, and finally found a D.O. who diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. Once I knew what I had, I have been very successful in staying in remission.

Oct 11, 2011 · Skin Cancer in Cancer

I have been using a dermatologist who checks me every 3 months for skin cancers. I have had 4 removed this year. Catching the cancer early is vital for success. If a path report comes back positive for cancer, she refers me immedicatley to a surgeon who does the Mohs surgery in his office. So far, successful. You might want to look up the Mohs tmt online. I am not sure I would wait aroiund til Jan 2012.

I took Boniva for a year at my ob-gyn insistence since I was showing signs of osteo. I developed an erosion at the base of my esophagus and ended up in the ER. It took about a year for that to heal and I came off Boniva immediately. I took it as directed but used 16 oz of water instead of the recommended 8 oz to make sure the pill got into my stomach. Then my endocrinologist suggested Reclast. I have fibromyalgia and have muscle aches daily. My doctor told me that one of the side effects is muscle aches and due to the half life of Reclast, if I have the side effect it will be with me for a year!! I said “no thanks”. My ob-gyn is insistent that I take “a drug” so she has me back on Evista, which I had been on prior to Boniva. I walk 1 hr 6 days a week with weights, do not consume dairy at all, am very conscious of what I eat, work out with weights 3 times a week, and consume miniimal red meat. I have not had my bone mass repeated in the past 3 years. I think my insurance states that I have to wait 5 years. I have run across a web site that promotes controlling osteo naturally. Cannot recall the name of it now but if you want to email me, I will be happy to share it with you. Due to past experience with drugs, I am drug shy and wish I could live with no drugs at all.
