Sat, Mar 7 11:26am · Chronic pelvic pain syndrome treatment in Chronic Pain

Thanks for your input! I have had this condition for more than 38 years now. I'm trying relaxation and anal strengthening and relaxing in hopes of loosening up the flaps surrounding the anus. I also use the hot tub jets to ease the pain in that area. All this is helping a little to date, but still in constant pain.

Nothing yet, although it's early on.

I’m going to a physical therapist weekly for this condition, and she feels the muscles surrounding my anus are too tight. She recommended reading “A Headache in the Pelvis” by Dr. David Wise, which I am doing now, and also doing some relaxive work to see if the muscles will loosen up. Is anybody else experiencing this type of constant pain?

I fully agree and, in fact, usuall;y manage two of those naps each and every day.

Thu, Jan 30 11:59am · Pudendal Nerve Entrapment/Neuropathy/Damage in Chronic Pain

Updating the above post, I went to a medical marijuana clinic here and the manager said forget about using CBD or marijuana if you continue to use hydrocodone (which I do 4T daily}. I went to my physical therapist yesterday, and she inserted electronic sensor patches in my buttocks near the rectal area. She feels I don't have PNE but rather a stretching of the Levator Ani flaps which cause them to be too stiff and cause pain. This is also referred to as Chronic Anorectal Pain. She is suggesting a number of relaxation techniques along with goig back to the Tenns unit patches in that area. I will update the group on any (hoped for) progress.

Sun, Jan 19 7:22am · Pain in the butt - Can't sit down in Chronic Pain

I've had pain in my butt/rectal area since 1981. I can sit down, but it's constantly painful. I've tried acupuncture, hypnosis, chronic pain specialists…none being successful. I even tried using a TENS unit down there for the past few weeks..but that didn't help either. I'm going to yet another physical therapist on Monday to see if she can help. I'' let you know is she can ease the pain.

Dec 27, 2019 · Anyone out there diagnosed with Pudendal Neuralgia? in Brain & Nervous System

I'm also a long time sufferer with pudental pain in my anus, and it's been there for 38 years. I've been on hydrocodone for more than 10 years…4 pills a day…and will ask my doctor about trying your Clozepam. Just got a Tenns unit and will also try it, although most Connect members have had little luck with them.

Thanks so much for your prayers! I use cushions wherever I sit, but don't have any specific ones. They all help a little though.
