Nov 1, 2019 · scar tissue after knee replacement in Joint Replacements

I have had a tight band feeling now for 7 years 24/7 no pain just uncomfortable with that feeling. One thing I tried and the massage therapy seemed to think it loosen things up was with cupping. she loosened the scars up to where I could move that skin around instead of the stuck down feeling. I bought the cups my self and use for knees and other things too. It hasn't changed the tight band feeling but I think if I would do it to myself a couple times a day maybe I would start seeing improvement. Just don't seem to find the time to do that. I have the kind of cups that look like little domes and you don't have to oil up and move the cups around you just stick them down. they are suppose to help scar tissue.

The tightness hasn't kept me from doing anything. Last year when we went to Israel and went to Petra one day I had 24,000 steps by the end of the day. I just don't like it not feeling normal. No pain like I said but it feels like the skin is kind of stuck. I'm going to keep up the cupping on myself and try to do it twice a day.

It's been 7 years since I had both knees replaced and they still have that tight band feeling. I have tried everything been to multiple doctors and no help. I feel like it might have moved a little lower in both knees but I still have that same 24/7 feeling. No pain just that tightness and it isn't range of motion. I had 4 MUA's between both knees and I sometime think it is that which caused it. I've been doing cupping (with therapist at first) and to me the fascia attaching to muscle seems to make the most sense. I'm tired of people saying they don't know what is causing that. My twin sister had knee replaced and a month later she had no problems at all. I had 3 months PR with each knee then a personal trainer for about 3 months and did water aerobics for 1 1/2 years and nothing changed. If someone else gets any answers, I'm interested in hearing them.
