Mon, May 18 9:48am · 3 Months in with 7% Sodium Chloride in MAC & Bronchiectasis

I would be reluctant to even start a treatment protocol without a specialist’s recommendation. In fact, I’d want the recommendation of several specialists. My first sputum test results came back positive for MAC and contained recommendations for treatment. Subsequently, I consulted with my pulmonologist, an infectious disease specialist and my primary care provider. Each one had a different treatment protocol recommendation. My cardiologist strongly recommended I begin treatment immediately. I went to National Jewish Health in Denver for a thorough work up. They took three sputum cultures and “grew them” for 10 weeks. Results showed no MAC infection!

Instacart is hiring! There was a huge email advertisement asking for applicants. I know each time I tried to use them I was told there were no delivery times available. Sounds like a great opportunity for those who like to shop……not me!

I spent two weeks in January at NJH after testing positive at home for MAC and finding local doctors each had their own opinion on treatment plans for me. After an extremely thorough work up at NJH it was determined I don’t have MAC at all! My wonderful doctor at NJH is Dr. Kasperbauer. I loved their team approach. I have complete faith in their methods and conclusions. Best decision I ever made was to consult with them before going forward with a treatment plan! Best wishes!

I sent
My sputum sample via USPS to NJH. They had given me the containers you mentioned but also a mailing envelope. I suppose any sturdy mailing envelope would be just fine. Best wishes!

A nutritionist at NJH told me the chocolate in Boost is cocoa and therefore not a problem for those of us with GERD, I love the Boost with 360 calories and the chocolate flavored variety is my favorite. I sometimes put 1/2 banana into a blender with it. Yummy!

You really do! There is more than one way to enjoy life. One of my favorites is to do whatever it takes to breathe more easily or just to breathe more!

I love the term “thumper” and use “thump” or “thumping”, as well! Those in the know, know what I am referring to! Keep thumping!
