Tue, Apr 9 10:30am · Chronic small bowel obstruction from adhesions in Digestive Health

Sounds like me but, mine is adhesions CAUSED "tortuous colon" or they hit the spot I kept tellin EVERY Dr bout n when they couldn't get right thru with the camera they just assumed that's what it is. I FINALLY got a GI, gyno N a surgeon to acknowledge it's the adhesions causin all the ABSOLUTE AGONY n chronic constipation/partial blockages. I was always told n I agreed it wasn't an option for the pain for years but now it is gettin dangerous. I told the surgeon that I am willin to risk how fast they'll grow back hell, they took 27 years to get this bad n there's always the chance they'll grow the opposite direction, n he has agreed to DO IT! at bare minimum he'll cut the one I need cut loose to allow stool passage. I CAN'T WAIT! IMAGINE, a BM done in ONE day… WITHOUT the pure hell it takes to get it out. I'll update after surgery. GOOD LUCK TO US ALLLLLLL!

Just had rectocele surgery… Supposedly causes no "discomfort" been tellin em n they been agreein for the most part that my problem is adhesions… This colonoscopy I was diagnosed with tortuous colon cause they could barely get the camera thru. But THAT doesn't cause any "discomfort" either, which makes NO sense to me, but they still agreed I probably am suffering from adhesions but, as we all know, they don't wanna mess with em for fear of more. Well, I wish to high heaven n beyond I had "discomfort" the top surgeon in the area I consulted with when diagnosed with the tortuous n he said nothin could be done. I ended up on ANOTHER blocked bm that had me screamin for 5 days. I called em n said I'll take the risk. It took 25 years to get to this, how fast they gonna grow more n they might even grow the opposite direction, right? Then I looked it up, don't know why in that order… maybe cause I was POSITIVE it's all the adhesions in the exact spot all 3 scars meet. As I read the info I had tears pourin off my face down my chest, I sobbed, I was relieved I found proof, pissed they didn't address it when I showed up doubled over n sobbin in agony. When it's the ONLY thing left it could be n they KNEW that's what it is n STILL brushed it off with absolutely NO ADVICE OR INSTRUCTIONS, JUST, "LIVE WITH IT" … WE know our bodies better n they NEED to start listenin to US! In little over 5 weeks I will get my relief… Because I REFUSED TO BE IGNORED!

@jcarndt I too have severe tortuous colon. I would like them to explain to me how if they can barely get the camera through that the stool isn't causing all this pain when I'm trying to have a bowel movement they're telling me I'm supposed to just feel no discomfort yeah right. I started taking those pills that I showed you I got them on eBay for like 11 bucks or something 18 bucks and I came in like 2 days but I was taking them a long time and I stopped taking them for a while cuz I was going so good and sure enough I ended up even worse I'm drinking half bottles what do you call it castor oil that was like the only thing that would break it down is the castor oil and an enema if I was lucky that would work.one time it didn't and I had to go in and I had a completely impacted colon. but those things I would take them in the morning unless you prefer to go to the bathroom in the morning if you prefer morning take them at night. I know I don't like to do it in the morning because that means I have to sit around and wait for my belly to stop acting up before I can leave. I sent you a picture of the stuff I take and like I said you can get it on eBay or Amazon just Google search it for eBay it's very cheap comes very fast Works excellent I'm I started with 2 in the morning and 2 at night and I now take one at 9 or 1 in the morning so I go at night but they work Wonderful, just get a SERIOUS cramp then screamin when the stool is moving through my colon I have scars I have three scars that meet together right above my hairline and that is where the pain if they won't go in and tried to get out the adhesion that are wrapped around my colon. I hope I was of some help I swear by those magnesium sulfate I would not try any other brand ever. Not a single drop of castor oil LOL

I'm sitting at the 4 week after colonoscopy diagnosed with severe tortuous colon and sent home. In constant discomfort but I've got the screaming and fainting pain under control since they did a major clean out when they found stool stuck in the walls of my ascending and in the cecum having to force it out. I got home and was still pooping. I saw the top surgeon in the area and was told there was nothing they can do but remove the colon completely because they can't take out just the twisted almost closed section. I'm down to eating mushed up food as I found solid food is the enemy. But I am miserable. And scared. I am scheduled for rectocele surgery April 4.. That was a terrifying moment when I did that, I made the mistake of pushing. I usually can only get any out if i push it out with my thumb but even that wasn't working. I was diagnosed years ago with hemorrhagic gastritis and gastroparesis by colonoscopy after I luckily cleared out my impacted colon. I had drunk too much water n not enough food and was severely deficient of potassium. I was ok for years except for a lot of bouts of symptoms here n there. I'm on lifetime potassium replacement therapy. I found that magnesium was to help better than M. O. M. so I picked up a cheap bottle n had decent results so I searched extensively for the best out there n came across Synergetic Magnesium Complex… Extra strength 500mg. It worked perfect till I did one of the bipolar no no's n stopped taking them without realizing or understanding why. I am back on it and now I'm going quite a bit every day but that leaves me with the feeling of a constant period cramp. I'm so glad I found this group cause the GI only recommended a virtual colonoscopy in 3 years and return to previous diet… That's it! Same with the surgeon, he basically refused to help because I'm still so young… 48… n he'd have to take it all and I'd be on a bag. Nothing else. WHY don't they tell you ANYTHING? SOMETHING? With it being rare and not easy to find info on it, ya'd think they'd recommend something… Even if just referring them to a website that can offer info. Well, thanks for existing, nice to know I'm not alone but sorry you have to have it too. I'll be following along n will comment when I have ANY changes or can offer a suggestion.
