Mon, Jul 8 12:42am · Self diagnosed Laryngopharangeal reflux in Digestive Health

Some time ago I was diagnosed with same symptoms did my own research come up with some things that helped me: started drinking alkaline water only, elevated my bed four or so inches at head, started sleeping on right or left side at night never on my back or stomach however God made people individually so what is working great for me maybe not work the same for everyone. You have to try to see for yourself

completely stop drinking coffee as well as caffeinated tea help me greatly. It may take a few days for it to show good results because you need to clear your body of all caffeinated drinks.

This is my first response soooooooo here goes. I spent a night at University Hospital with a conclusion I had acid reflex with sleep apnea. WOW! what a surprise. Since I disliked taking medication for anything I desisted. A company brought "the" night ware machine to my house, and insurance covered the use of it. I wore it a couple of weeks, it wasn't doing what they said plus I it was very difficult getting adjusted to it. The visiting technician told me it works better if I'd tape your lips together. I did and it worked better, of course, I had to breath through my nose. So I conclude if breathing through the nose helped why did I need the machine. I tried something they wouldn't recommend I starting sleeping without the machine just with mouth taped, it worked I was able to sleep better. Then I discovered sleeping on my back was the problem so I started sleeping on my left side alternating to my right side but never on my back. That helped greatly. Several months later i tried dispensing taping my mouth. WOW! it worked. About my acid reflex problem through experiment, if I drank a lot of water I was able to curb that problem so every morning first thing, I ALWAYS drank a glass or two of Alkaline water and through the day drink a lot of Alkaline water. I'm exceedingly happy, I sleep well at night and take absolutely no medication. It worked for me, but …………….

@patrick L I totally agree with jontollefson's comment. Yes, I've had experience with "Wacks" but I don't think we should throw the baby out with the dirty water. I've personally had a physical problem, did research took a supplement and was helped. Absolutely research is essential – getting the facts is a must.
