Fri, Apr 5 6:57pm · First mammograms after surgery and radiation treatments in Breast Cancer

Thank you @jeannie53. I will tell the girls doing the mammograms of my concern. The girls at my breast center are very nice and friendly. I felt comfortable with them. Like they were old friends even though I had just met them for the first time. It's good to hear that the mammogram may not be the touture that I feared. Though I do realize that everyone is different.

@trixie1313 thanks for your reply. I will be getting the mammogram from the breast center that diagnosed and coordinated my surgery and treatments. They know what I have been through. I will ask them to be gentle. I'm sure they will as much as they can. Hopefully I will be more healed by the end of May.

Fri, Apr 5 8:34am · Concerned about the side effects of anastrozole in Breast Cancer

@gwinter I drink 3-4 bottles of water daily, 16.9 oz each. I'm not overly dry anywhere else. So I don't think it is dehydration.

Thu, Apr 4 4:53pm · Concerned about the side effects of anastrozole in Breast Cancer

My lips have been extremely dry for the past few weeks. They feel like they are burning and have become a size too small! I have tried Chapstick, Vaseline ( which has always worked for me before cancer) and Blixtex. Nothing seems to comfort my poor lips. I'm taking Anastrozle. Could that be the source of my discomfort?

Thu, Apr 4 4:38pm · First mammograms after surgery and radiation treatments in Breast Cancer

I am almost 5 months from my lumpectomy and 4months from last radiation treatment. I am a bit concerned about my first mammogram after surgery and treatments. Mammograms were uncomfortable before surgery. My mammogram is scheduled for late May, at 6 months post surgery. Recently my husband got a bit frisky and squeezed. It hurt! That got me to wondering. The mammograms squeeze much harder. Can anyone give me benefit of their experience?

Thu, Mar 7 5:32pm · Timing of HRT, anastrozole - taking day or night? in Breast Cancer

I started taking Anastrozol in November 2018. The very first day I took it in the morning as that is when I am used to taking my pills. Later that evening as I was cleaning up from dinner I had a doozy of a dizzy spell. I decided to switch to evenings so that if I was going to get dizzy, I would sleep through it. No problems with dizziness since. I have been thinking of switching back to mornings now that my body has adjusted to it. I tend to forget to take it in the evenings because I have never taken pills in the evening before.

Sun, Feb 24 4:28pm · Stopping anastrozole after 5 years. Withdrawal symptoms? in Breast Cancer

@smspaz59 I have been taking Anastrozol for 3months now. I have experienced all of them but they were very mild and quickly faded away. I had fatigue but that seems to have faded away too. Now I'm experiencing some weight gain. I hope that eases as the weather improves and I can get outside more. Now I walk 30 minutes a day to YouTube walking videos. It really helps combat the fatigue and soreness.

Wed, Feb 20 6:59pm · How long was your radiation therapy? in Breast Cancer

I had 15 radiation treatments. They were targeted to the specific tumor site. I had lumpectomy in November 2018 for stage 1a invasive ductual carcioma. Radiation began the week before Christmas.
