I have had chronic back pain for many years; I admire you for going forth w/ surgery. I've been too chicken to fix the spurs that have resulted because my back issues have been going on so long. I also have 2 discs that have toppled over onto each other(spondolisthesis)? . Did you have that situation, by chance. I would welcome what else besides the ice that has helped you; heat helps some, not ice much for me. Ice does help my osteoarthritic kneeso don't know exactly why doesn't help my back. I think my back issues arose because of my highly physical work, in the past. I would like to hear from others how they cope w/ chronic back pain. Incidently, I lost almost an inch and a half of body height because of the lumbar stenosis. Also, how does a person approach the fact that back surgery would probably help but have had friends who said they were worse off after undergoing back surgeries.Light yoga helps some, especially the "child's pose". Congrats on going ahead w/surgery. We only get one life & I think I should try the surgery, in the not-too-distant future. What kind of ice pack(s) do you use?

Hi, keep those statistics coming. I, for one, find your info. gathering fascinating. A relative out in Arizona had her state go to a version of our "Yellow"
status and as I'd thought, the # of positive tests went up sharply 5-6 days afterward. So, the SD does make a lot of sense. I noticed a lot of youngish folks(like the 18-30,my guess) really slacking off here(in Pa.) with mask-wearing & SD. I'll be the last one wearing a mask! Call me extra careful..doesn't matter. Keep
up the hard work and thanks.

Wow! You don't say if you're in Phoenix or Death Valley. A relative lives in Tucson and told me that this past Monday it was already 100 degrees. But it's a dry heat, right? Makes quite a difference. We are having a generally "soupy" day. Be careful out there.

I want to thank you for tracking this "untimely death" graph as carefully as you did; I started to track & write down statistics starting maybe 2 and a half wks. ago because this thing seemed to have sprouted wings. I tend to agree w/ you ~ the social distancing sort of being lax &
ppeople not wearing masks @ my walks, @ Target(had to go once) & then seeing how folks@ public beaches seemed to throw all caution to the wind. By yesterday, I might have seen a return to SD & re-wearing of masks; wonder if this is the way it'll go @ this point. I don't know if the WH briefing occurred today, the last I saw it was on Mem. Day. I can relate to people that have posted being fearful of the virus because I've heard, watched & read of quite a few taking a bad turn suddenly. Personally, I have a hx. of asthma & am over 60
so there is cause for concern. So I started to eat healthier, be faithful w/ the walks & trying to see light @ end of tunnel. Thanks for your informative posts.

joined up kinda late(well, real late because it's 5/24 and this county in south-central Pa. is set to go into the cautionary yellow phase in ~4 days. I hope that your virtual walks on the beach in Hawaii were as lovely as they sound. I caught up w/ some of you by doing a "backward" read of posts during these last few long months. My fitness center will be opening on a limited basis on th 28th. So, I'm having dreams of swimming in the warm pool, which is so great on my arthritic knees, hips, etc. For Becky Leonard…I hope that you're feeling healthy & strong. I'm planning to keep up w/ you guys & it sounds like a fun bunch.

Yes, but on today, Monday, the 24th, the deaths are down significantly both in U.S. and globally. In spite of recent shore-line beaches w/
visitors who don't look like practicing the best social distancing, plus @ close-ups of some eastern beaches, don't see much of the mask-
ing in use. Like folks may have had quite enough of the whole deal & wanted to get out & enjoy the warm weather & maybe some caution
has been thrown to the winds. Guess we'll see the true impact in 3-4 days. Personally, I've been more than a little ready to atleast get to
the yellow phase & we're going to be there on Friday.

Liked your virtual walking tour of growth on your property. Since I live in a smallish apt., that truly must be lovely & then being able to walk on level ground. I have been going w/ a friend to interesting(and many new) subdivisions near us for walks regularly. Everyone, have a good day!
