It is totally possible to have RA and Sjögrens even through blood work does no show it. You can be zero positive. So many things you described reming me of Sjögrens. Sjögrens has inflamed joints, sores in mouth, eye issues including dryness, infections, and serious issues. Sjögrens causes issues with muscles and tendons along with bursitis. If they said no to Sjögrens did they do a lip biopsy? They should have. I know of an amazing Sjögrens group with informative folks and constant post. If you want it just let me know. Do not let them off the hook. I think they are trying but some flags were raised. Such as them not knowing you can be zero positive and not doing a lip biopsy. Hang in there and keep advocating for yourself.

I am so sorry about your rib pain. I am also sorry that our society has come to the point where people that are honestly hurt and in pain cannot get the pain medication they need. Please give us updates as to how you are doing.

I am so sorry that your doctors have been so negligent in taking care of you. If you have RA it is constantly doing damage to your body inch by inch. You need to be on medication to stop the slow progress. RA does not just affect your joints it also can attack your heart, lungs, and even your brain. It is not something to ignore to a later day. Sometimes we have to tell our doctors what to do…after all, they work for us just like our yard man, plumber, and car mechanic.

Perhaps he does not give us our ills but he sure could make them disappear. Always annoyed me how he supposedly heals some and not others. How people beg and plead for an eight year old girls life with liver cancer…yet no response from God. People say God gives you free will not diseases. Then they turn around and give him credit for healing a loved one…yet a little girls lies suffering badly from cancer. He could heal her but chooses not to do that. Her family waits watching…their lives will be destroyed. They have prayed themselves sick. Please do not respond with that is God’s will that is a cop out.

I would like to introduce myself. I was diagnosed with RA at age 30 and have dealt with it for 30 years. I am on my fifth biologic which if Actemra. I get it by way of infusions. Fatigue is profound for me but my doctor has me on medication that helps take the edge off of it. I look forward to supporting others and being supported in this group.

Because I would have to be out of work for two to three months. I cannot afford to be out of work that long and I cannot afford to work extra right now to save up for it because I am not operating at full capacity due to needing knee replacements, back surgery, and having RA. In two years I will receive a settlement due to my family and I can then be off work. I am also taking care of a disabled adult son…so a lot of responsibilities.

I had both left and right knee done using Coolief recently. I had such high hopes as I am in significant pain. Neither procedure worked. I had it done at UAB Pain Clinic in Birmingham. It hurts like the dickens to have it done. Does any one else have suggestions on procedures that work?
