Dec 30, 2018 · Lung Cancer and 2019 in Lung Cancer

@merpreb happy new year! Hope and faith are keeping us alive. Tomorrow we will get my husband' s scan results. I' m so scared…the blood tests were good. Ah, very bad weather here with cold and rain and my husband is very sensitive to cold, he doesn' t want to go out, so very sad and lonely holidays. My heart goes to everyone who' s suffering and I hope for better days. Take care…

@merpreb I agree with you about the life prognosis. It's awful. It' s like a bomb ticking over your head. You are the living example of not giving up hope. I guess no doctor told you about 21 years…My pulmonologist told me that my husband has 1 to 3 years to live. He never asked, I never told him. The oncologists in the hospital said nothing and I was relieved that they didn' t steal the hope from us. We keep going….

@merpreb I truly admire you! You are an inspiration. My husband didn't have severe side effects from immunotherapy except for a thyroid gland dysfunction. He has also COPD and a lot of phlegm that causes difficulty in eating and breathing sometimes. From the diagnosis a year ago he has adenomas in the adrenals but the doctors don' t say much about it. They are confused because the tumor in the lung has shrunk but this thing in the adrenals has increased. They say that immunotherapy often does that in the glands so they can' t be sure if it's a metastasis. If it continues they will change the therapy to chemo. He doesn' t want to do chemo. Also i' mad at him because the last two weeks he spits blood mixed with phlegm and he doesn' t want to go to hospital because it' s Christmas. Anyway in three days we have an appointment for CT scan. I wish you and your family happiness, health and joy. Merry Christmas!

Hello! I' Maria from Greece. I' m 46 and my husband 63, has non small cell lung cancer stage 3b or 4. He' s on immunotherapy ( keytruda ) for a year now. The tumor has shrunk from 3 cm to 0.9 cm. He is very positive, he has a very good attitude but i' m depressed. We have 2 kids 17 and 15 and I don' t have a job. I' m worried about the future. Family is close to us but most of our friends not. I guess people are minding their own business. Wish you all the best! Merry Christmas ( sorry for my English. …)
