I used a compounded cream that worked with ketamine, amitryptaline and lidocaine. Was about $65 for a small amount. Most compounding pharmacies can do this with a script.

FYI – I eventually got off of the cream and the CNS drug, by taking the right magnesium product- which not only resolved the itching but does a lot more. See Remag product on Amazon.

I eliminated ice packs last December after resuming Lexapro, but continued with a compounded cream recommended by itch specialists at Hopkins. After getting saturated with the right kind and dose of liquid magnesium, and some PIT injections, I cut back to 10 mg. of Lexapro and no longer need the cream. Last stage will be eliminating the Lexapro all together, which I am going to try this summer.

I also started a ketogenic diet in February – mainly reducing carbs – I have always eaten whole foods. I don’t take any meds and only a few supplements. I mostly listen to Dr. Carolyn Dean, MD for the best advice on nutrition and good health.

There is a way to beat this problem!!

Has anyone researched or tried or is taking magnesium?
I just am learning about it. I gave listened to Dr. Carolyn Dean and have her book the Magnesium Miracle. Apparently unless the magnesium is broken down into a Pico meter size, it does’t really get to the red blood cells, which is here it needs to go to be effective. I am amazed at the results of so many people after discovering their need for a magnesium supplement. Apparently it is difficult to get the correct daily amount with just food.

In addition, I have also learned about adding pink Himalayan salt to drinking water in order for the regular water not to draw important minerals out of your body.

I purchased the Remag liquid and the Remag lotion. It is supposed to be especially beneficial for the nervous system but also helps with many other health conditions but only if you take the right form, in the right dosage for you and add the pink himilayan salt to your water so your body doesn’t deplete itself of the minerals with the regular water.

Google functional medicine doctors. There is a whole site explaining it. These docs treat the whole person and ty to get to the root of problems rather then just giving meds and doing surgery- they are open to what works for people.

Yes, I have done my first PIT injection treatment and going back in two weeks. Google Lyftogt and there is a list of physicians who are training. Charlotte should have some nearby. You have to call first though and ask questions to make sure they understand your symptoms are have experience.

A neural MRI looks at the nerves- whereas the regular MRI can’t see the nerves but rather the bones and organs.
