Nov 17, 2018 · UTI and Yeast Infections in Kidney & Bladder

They discovered that usually one pill Diflucan will do the treat for a yeast infection. Sometimes with Monistat also. Taking antibiotics always gives me a yeast infection. But this time the yeast infection came on its own and I don't know know why. I just got over a viral infection and cold and am thinking a suppressed immune system could have caused it. I don't know. But after antibiotics I also get a yeast infection and will sometimes need two Difulcan and Monistat cream. Also keep dry down there and take a probiotic and eat yogurt. That is my advice.

Yes, yeast infection is a fungus. The Diflucan tablets eventually did work. It wasn't a bad yeast infection though. I don't believe it is for a UTI. That you need an antibiotic.

I also take probiotics very day. No antibiotics and like I said, I had some Diflucan pills because sometimes chlorine will give me a yeast infection but over the summer I didn't use them. So I took one on Thursday and another on Saturday and still have the yeast. I am just going to get some Monistat cream and see if that works. I just would like to know why I have this infection if I didn't take antibiotics. I did just get over a viral infection and have had some stress in my life. Could this be it? If anyone knows, please help!/ Thank you. Mary1234

No. I took 2 Diflucan pills. One on Thursday and the other on Saturday. I never had a yeast infection before unless I was on antibiotics. I don't get it………….

Kami: please let me know how the surgery went. I haven't had the surgery yet and am terrified. I am 74 and strain to pee, will probably have to self-catherize. If you don't mind sharing, please tell me how bad your rectal prolapse was and how the surgery went. I want to have the perineal. Thank you. Mary.

traveling: I see that you had the perineal repair for a prolapsed rectum. I haven't spoken to my doctor yet, but I will this Friday. That is what I am contemplating. I am 74 and have some nerve damage to my bladder and need to strain to pee. I have tried meds, etc. but right now looks like I will be self-catherizing, learning before surgery, then afterwards. I wanted to know how the surgery was and how long did it take for you to recover? Thank you so much. I manually push it in but now I have started with muscus discharge. Thank you.

maosoe2. the symptoms of rectal prolapse is a bulge that comes out of your rectum when you go to the bathroom. According to how severe it is, right now I can manually push it back in. I need to strain to pee because I have some nerve damage to bladder since a hysterectomy in 1985. So straining will cause it. IF you can stop straining and it is not bad, maybe you can take care of it yourself. Otherwise surgery is the only option. I have yet to hear of anyone who has had the rectal prolapse surgery and how it went. You can tell if a red mass comes out of your anus……I now have a dischare of mucus and it is making it harder to pee so I will probably have the surgery. I have been trying to help my bladder first with medications, which haven't worked, now will try PTNS with an acupuncturist, and if that doesn't work, looks like I might be self-catherizing…….So, I hope I helped.@
