I am still in PT being massaged and do some myself – having problems with the patella tendon – doing exercises in the pool – it seems to get a little better very slowly !!! – Maybe there is hope after 2 years ? So don't give up just keep on pushing through the pain !!
My knee was done in HSS in New York and the implants are perfect – you could try there – find a doctor there who will do this and watch that he does take Medicare or your insurance, because all the top doctors there do not take Medicare anymore.
I am sorry for your problems and I cannot give you that much hope, since my knee is now 2 years old and is still giving me pain. I still have the tight feeling, but that has become better. But I have scar tissue and nobody knows really, how to get rid if it. And I have pain in my patella tendon, But my ROM is really good, I earned it with a lot of pain. In the beginning they bent my knee so hard that I thought the scar would split open ! How is walking ? I would not worry about the numbness – I still have it down the front of my leg. They have to cut some nerves and they eventually might come back. Pain is something else. But you have to push through it to get the ROM. I wish you good luck and lots of stamina !
