Can someone from Mayo explain why it was ok for VP Pence to enter the hospital without a mask?

My husband is one year out and I can’t tell you how great he is doing. Wants to go zip lining to celebrate. Both doctors and staff at Mayo are the best. We live in NJ next to NYC which has great hospitals, but you can’t get the care as at Mayo.
This is a question that may sound silly. My husband had HOCM and five blockages last year. Saturday August 3rd is his one year anniversary after surgery. He wants or celebrate by going on a short zip line , is it’s safe?
Also a note to those going thru this now, it’s amazing the difference a year makes. Can not say enough about Mayo Clinic and the staff. They are the Bentley of hospitals.
My husband had HOCM and five blockages. He had his surgery nine months ago today, and I can’t begin to tell you the difference. The first two months he felt very little difference and questioned everything he went thru. Now, he would do it again knowing how great he feels. A year ago he was exhausted just coming in from the driveway. Mayo is the best for this condition, surgery. The staff is so fabulous I can’t rave enough about them. Get it done and move on with life.
My husband had his surgery on August 3rd along with triple by pass. He is 71 and was in a full week do to complication with his pace maker. We had reservation to fly home on the 11th. There were no problems as far as health to fly. We in fact were told the day you are released you can fly.
