Dec 4, 2018 · Treating Osteoporosis in Bones, Joints & Muscles

Hello, I am sorry about your Osteopinia and Osteoperosis . I was diagnosed with Osteopinia and took seven Prolia injections beginning in 2012, two years after it was released. I am happy your mother is able to take Prolia. As for me, it was a horrible drug for me, I suffered and am still suffering from many of the side effects of Prolia. I wish I had researched this drug before ever taking the first shot. I trusted my doctor! As I stated for mr personally, it has been a nightmare. I hope it continues to work for your Mom and good luck to you. Glad you are seeing your doctor and again good luck.

Smart choice to say no to Prolia, as I have posted many times, Prolia has and still I a nightmare for me! Horrible side effects and not sure my body will ever be the same! Severe pain in back muscles all over my body. Wish I had never taken Prolia, actual drug is denosumab , also being marketed as Xgeva for cancer patients! Hope this helps someone to avoid the suffering I hav and still am enduring from this poison!

I had 7 injections of Prolia beginning in 2012, only 2 years after it was on the market. It did nothing for my Osteopinia. However the horrible side effects have been a living nightmare for me personally. I wish I had researched it before ever taking it. I trusted my doctor. 2015 was my last shot and I am still suffering from the Prolia, the actual drug is denosumab, also marketed a Xgeva for cancer patients. It is a form of chemotherapy. I had a close friend that was given it for cancer. She and I compared our problems for this drug and the were very similar. Joint pains, severe back pains, jaw problems, skin rashes. I just got an injection of cortisone in my hoping it will help my pain. I tell everyone, beware of Prola, it is poison and should be taken off the market. The reviews on it on many sights are really bad. I hope this helps you and other to not go through my suffering from Prolia. Sincerely hope this helps!

Hi Elaine, sorry I don't have any suggestion other than to share my experience with Prolia injections. I managed to handle 7 injections. I began suffering most of the horrible side effects before doing research on Prolia. I was not told about the side effects and trusted my doctor. My last shot was in 2015, and I am still suffering from unbearable pain, vertigo, skins problems . I just had an injection of cortisone in my back hoping this will help me. I have contacted Amgen, the drug company and the FDA to no avail, my suggestion to you is no more Prolia. It is a form of chemotherapy , the active drug is Denosumab, also marketed as Xgeva for cancer patients. This drug has been a nightmare for me and as I said, I wish I had never taken. It should be taken off the market. I hope this help you. Best of health.

Fantastic uplifting information. Thanks, I have been having a sort of hard time lately with growing older. Struggling with some health issues, not serious, just annoying! I will keep your suggestion in mind. Again , thank you.
