Please question your provider as gabapentin is the fore runner of Lyrica and is only different by one molecule.

Thank you for the very thoughtful post. While science will eventually find out the facts about benefits and risks of CBD – either with THC or without, I am in Montana where medical marijuana is legal and there is a state lab that tests the components of each CBD and provides a state lab report in sticker form that is attached to each CBD sale. So far the makers claims are extremely close to state lab reports. I hav CMT and my CBD contains 11% THC; the pins and needles effect is greatly reduced, helping me to sleep more easily. FYI, I take one capsule twice a day.
Jeff, here is what I am told by my medical marijuana provider. CBD is legal in all 50 states and online ordering is CBD from hemp plants as it contains no THC, the psychic ingredient in marijuana. CBD from marijuana contains 5-7% THC and is sold only in states that have legalized marijuana or states with medical marijuana cards. What you want is the CBD from marijuana plants.
I believe that CBD is legal in all 50 states. Please note that this widely advertised CBD is from hemp which has no THC. CBD from marijuana plants will contain 5-7% THC and is only sold in states with either legalized medical marijuana or those states where recreational marijuana is legal. The CBD from marijuana, I am told, is far superior to that from hemp. I use the CBD from marijuana and it is effective at controlling my pain and the pins/needles effects of my Charcot Marie Tooth.
Nancy, I have had CMT since 2000 and have tried acupuncture with no relief for the tingling. Sorry for that news but I believe you would find CBD from marijuana. I also smoke a little each evening and that actually helps lessen the pins and needles for the night so I can more easily go to sleep.
