@derbeltal -I had chills when I started rifampin. Went off it for awhile, then started again. Same problem. My doc then took me off it and no issues. Mine was definitely medication related.

Has anyone had any success getting out of network coverage at Mayo for a second opinion? Tips regarding this process? Any opinions regarding Dr. Johnson at Mayo in Jacksonville? I currently have MAC and bronchiectasis-sputum positive after a year on two of the Big 3. I feel fine except for a cough.
@windwalker -I haven’t even been diagnosed for two years yet-I did have a second CT scan before I completed the year of antibiotics and the pulmonologist thought there was some improvement-I will definitely keep track of that!
@128128terry11t I was on two antibiotics for a year (did not tolerate rifampin) and 2 of 3 sputum samples were positive. I have decided not to resume antibiotics at this time as minor coughing is my only symptom.
@ling123 @windwalker My story is very similar to ling123 symptom wise-except my ID doc put me on the big 3-I did not tolerate rifampin which the cultures showed were specific to my MAC. After a year on the other two, cultures still positive. I cough some, but work full time, exercise daily, and can hike in the mountains! I’m going back at the end of the month to ID- I will not go back on the meds at this time.
And yes-I’m an avid gardener- now raising Monarch 🦋!

@irene5@america I was changed from rifampin to rifabutin-I did not tolerate it-got achy and feverish. Went off it for awhile and tried again-same issue.
