Apr 2, 2019 · Anyone here dealing with peripheral neuropathy? in Neuropathy

No one actually told me those things. I just put it together because of my experience at the chiropractor. I had an appt. to see a neurologist because the PN was spreading and worsening. In the meantime I was trying a new chiropractor and he did that scraping on my calves. He had a hunch it would help the PN, which it did incredibly. Some has returned but I will ask him to do it again. My PN really does seem to be from those tight muscles, although I have also had some in my elbows from leaning on them too long!? Because of the disappearance of symptoms, I canceled my appt. with the neurologist.

Mine seems to be structural, impeded nerves from twisted pelvis and also from severely tight calf muscles.

I also have PN and didn’t know what was causing it. It has been mostly cured with something called “The Graston Technique”. Find a chiropractor who practices this. no medications were needed!

I’d never heard of it before, I think it is a newer technique. It involves rubbing a flat disc along the muscles, it was painful for me, but so worth it in the end. My PN was in my feet and ankles, they were numb, my feet were excruciating. It was progressing up my legs.

I just wanted to let everyone on this thread know that my PN is mostly completely gone, and that a chiropractor was the one who helped me. He did “scraping” on my calves because he said the calf muscles were so tight they were impinging on my nerves. I was better immediately! The PN had been getting increasingly worse, progressing quickly. It is 98% gone now! I also think the pelvic adjustments help.

Thank you for that info! I am greatly encouraged to hear about how controllable it is with D3, and I will tell my doctor and everyone else.

I just wanted to say that I have tried vit D, 5000 mg, at night when the torture starts, and it has been working! My concern is about overdoing the dosage, but I like your idea of scaling back. Do you have experience with R-ALA? Some people here are saying it is also helpful. I am wondering if this syndrome always progresses. That is a depressing thought.
