Sat, Apr 11 9:03am · Are you getting cancer treatments during COVID-19? in COVID-19

I was diagnosed with CC 3 years ago. Your status is familiar to mine as I didn't have a match so we had to wait for a deceased donor and was transplanted in June of 2018. Thruout this journey I had 12 ERCPS and I know what you are and will be going thru. You will be taken care by the elite in healthcare. I offer you much hope and strength as you navigate this critical challenge. God Bless you, Happy Easter..

Sun, Apr 5 11:23am · Has your Primary Care Provider been helpful? in Lung Cancer

My brother goes to Mayo in Rochester. He has been on Alectinib (targeted therapy) since approximately June, 2018. He is doing quite well on this. He continues to do 3 month x-rays, scans, etc. He was not able to have his March appts due to what is going on with COVID. Hopefully, he will be able to keep his May appointments.

Fri, Mar 20 1:47pm · COVID-19 and Transplant Patients in Transplants

Yes I had the team at Mayo Rochester. Transplant was 6-22-18, I have been working part time as an office manager at a farm supply business, but of late I have been home in fear of the virus. I have written short detail of my last 3 years that I would share. I have had two rejections early post transplant but since have been doing fine with limitations. My meld started out at 19 and ended up 33. I had 12 ERCP procedures that placed a stent in the bile duct to ease flow prior to transplant. MY physical strength has lessened as I try to be as active as I once was but have accepted the common sense approach to do what I can. I am blessed. It is a struggle but faith, family and a great medical team has given me new life after a long run of dark days. Thank you for asking.

I was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma (rare bile duct cancer) In March of 2017 and went thru a long 18 month wait for a deceased donor. I would be glad to share my journey with anyone. Be Safe, be clean, be strong…

Tue, Feb 11 3:07pm · Liver transplant support group in Transplants

I am a 20 month post liver transplant and want to offer support to anyone awaiting any sort of transplant. Until you are there, few can grasp the long road that is to be traveled. My journey started in February of 2017, was transplanted in June 2018 from a deceased donor. I would be honored to offer great hope to anyone that responds and share stories pre and post transplant. Be strong.. Somehow I messed this up, I am not Lissa, I am Dwight.

We live only 70 miles south of Mayo in Rochester, so it was an easy trip north to the transplant picnic!

We attended the picnic and are in the picture. My husband had a liver transplant June 2018. He is on the right kneeling with the green shirt and white hat. I'm next to him with white shirt and on each side of me are our 2 daughters. Two years in a row we have gone and had a great time meeting up with others in this picture who were also staying at the transplant house when we were.
