My short term memory came back yesterday. I am so glad about it. But for some reason I can't eat without getting so nausea after I eat, so I don't know what to think about that except to stop eating. As long that I don't eat I don't feel sick.
Do you think that the neurologist will have answers on my short term memory loss from the ECT treatments? It is really messing up me paying my bills and just messing up everything for me. I don't know what to do and how to deal with this.
No, they did not. And at the ECT clinic they didn't know either, they said it depended on the person, everyone is different. And they also said that memory loss didn't happen until after the 6th treatment and I said there was always a first time for everything. So I don't think they believed me about my short term memory loss and how it made my depresstion worse. I am wondering if they shocked my brain to much of a dose. I am thinking about having a MRI scan to make sure that my brain tumor is still ok.
I had 4 ECT treatments, when I noticed that my depression was getting worse and that my short memory was gone. No the ECT treatments did not help me they made me worse. And the ECT clinic that I went to said they don't know when my short term memory will return. I'm sorry that it took me so long to respond back, I forgot that I had asked about this treatment. I had my treatments done a Pine Rest Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dose anyone have any answers for me? These treatments also makes me feel suicidal, which I am battling just about every day. I am so very depressed.
