2 hours ago · Update on my DRG stimulator Implant. Implanted 12 days ago. in Neuropathy

Oh my dear @lorirenee1, I am so just plain disgusted. You do it all the right way based upon a studious journey to find the best option for you Lori. And you, the student par excellence for neuropathy and possible treatments, so anticipated success.

Ya no……we don't expect to be cured of neuropathy….that can't happen. We don't expect to have problems and issues with proven treatments, a few adjustments maybe……a little more oomph now and then, but not this.

And I so remember how present you were for me as I was adjusting and re-adjusting medications, Every morning I knew you had my back and wished for success, freedom from pain.

So…my heart, my respect and recognition for your spirit. Take a break……eat chocolate (teasing) and give yourself a hug. Practice self-love and look again……..there has to be something waiting just for you, Lori.

May you be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.

1 day ago · Neuropathy in feet and limited toe movement? in Neuropathy

Good afternoon, @helennicola, You know what? My lie partner does some stretchy movements every night because of his restless legs which are laced with Charley horses if he doesn't get up and move every few minutes. Thank you for the suggestion. Nice to see your name pop up.

May you be content and at ease.

1 day ago · Icy feet and ankles with Small Fiber Neuropathy....anyone? in Neuropathy

@steeldove……good afternoon. Thanks for your reply. No apologies needed. I understand that cold feet in no way compares to 24 hours a day of pain. It is just a bit bizarre. When it comes, I can visualize the ice forming and even melting. No worries…..I can handle this. Let's be happy for your improvement at Mayo. Congratulations. It sounds like you have worked very hard to keep your body under control.
May you have happiness and the causes of happiness.

1 day ago · Neuropathy in feet and limited toe movement? in Neuropathy

@jesfactsmon Hi Hank……those images are so accurate for the neuropathy foot. Sometimes, my toes get stuck with one on top of the other. I also have to reach down and unhook them. I think most of that is part of the restrictive movement from the neuropathy. There are two or three yoga poses that really help those "twinkle toes". One is "legs up the wall". That pose encourages the valves to open so that blood can return from the feet easily. The other poses encourage greater steadiness when I walk and help my ankles. First you simply flap the feet up and down while they are above your head. The second one requires you to turn the feet round and round while they are overhead. You can find this Yoga pose on youtube I think. I'll take a look for you.

May you and Linda be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.

Hi Giovi, @giovi. Nice to see your name in the Posted by field. I looked up this Fosteum PLUS. It appears to be that this medication is classified as food. The claims are that it will perform both functions of building bone and restoring it. The main active ingredient…..genistein is acknowledged for its purity by the NIH and they conclude the following:

"Conclusions and implications:"
The results strongly suggest that the genistein aglycone might be a new therapy for the management of postmenopausal osteoporosis in humans.

Here is the link,

Apparently, more studies will be required before the final review. How did you hear about this…..just wondering how the word spreads in this age of instant knowledge. Would you be interested in a clinical trial? Here's the link.

Thanks for introducing so many to an interesting new treatment with some potential. We at Connect appreciate the sharing. How is your dexaScan score holding up? Have you had any problems getting medications because of COVID-19?

Is your heartburn under control? I have noticed that some osteoporosis medications do mention heartburn as a side effect. That would be awfully scary.

May you have happiness and the causes of happiness.
