Now you also have to deal with cancelled appointments for "not medically necessary" because of covo19. I'm sorry my diseases are just as important

You are both right. It seems that they all want the money, have you come in every month and then act surprised that you are broke. Trying to see more than one doctor on a trip doesn't work because you can't get anyone to work together. They all want the same labs and tests but won't share results, that's the most aggravating of all. They know you have to travel but I have only one doctor that is trying to help and will start seeing me every two months instead of twice a month. He is fustrated to because the others won't discuss different aspects with him. I told him "now you know what I go through"!

Mon, Mar 2 5:22am · Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) - Introduce yourself and meet others in Autoimmune Diseases

I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I have had no rheumatoid factor but not diagnosed with RA. I also keep getting told that I possibly have lupus, but so far keep testing negative. I also have uveitis in both eyes and have lost peripheral vision. Right now I have to say eyes are the worst, worried about going blind as I have been told that is possiblity of psoriatic arthritis isn't gotten under control. Going to eye specialist Wednesday.

Alot of your symptoms sound like me, including mono twice. I was misdiagnosed for over twenty years, finally got to internist after bad rash on face and felt like I was on fire, an er doctor said classic lupus. Internist said no, fibromyalgia and did not need rheumatologist. Finally was sent to hand surgeon because hand started looking like man's. He said I needed surgery but wouldn't do it until I was in care rheumatologist. Finally got into one after waiting another year on list( don't have many doctors in small hill country Texas town) and had to travel three hours one way but she was worth it. Spent hours with me Running tests, labs and exrays after going over full history. She was very understanding and acknowledged my frustrations. When she called me back into office two weeks later, had diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis (same thing as golfer on TV commercial but worse stage).

Please try going to a rheumatologist.

You should get in touch with National Psoriasis Foundation. They help with both Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

You will get a patient navigator who can help with questions, info, finding doctors in your area, even drug trials. My navigator has helped alot. They even gave info to my pain doctor. Give them a try.

I would ask doctor why he/she made that choice. Just remember that if your son suddenly starts getting upper respiratory infections and didn't before to remind his PC that he is on the Otezla and that does cause the infections
