Hello and I wish you the best of luck I do want to add if you are considering surgery and if you are in the state of DE DO NOT use Dr. Howard Goldstein. After my repair for bladder prolapse almost at stage 3 has left me with nerve damage even though the problem has been fixed correctly for 1 and 1/2 years after my surgery and much pain he misdiagnosed me over and over I had to go out of state to see another uro/gyn when you use the dr. thru Christian Care (there is only one practice in the state of DE) you can not go to another dr. in that practice so if you see one and you don't like them or are not happy with your results you can't see any other dr. in the practice you must go out of state please do your homework and I wish you the best of luck

Good Morning I would highly recommend Dr. Marc Toglia he is at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Riddle Pa…he is who I now see for annual check ups…he removed 2 stiches that had eroded from the first surgery and wasn't happy the original Dr. (whom I would not recommend again if you are in the state of DE there is only one practice of uro/gyn's in the state I can't speak for the other Dr.'s in the practice but I would not recommend Dr. Howard Goldstein but the other dr.'s in the practice may be good but once you start to see one of the dr.'s within the practice you can't see another and they do not tell you that so if you start with one dr. and you don't like them you have to go out of state) choice in material used for the stiches he has removed many of that type of suture material that was used Good luck to you

Well Good Luck to you!!! I will keep you in my prayers….if you are in the state of Delaware and anyone else who may be reading this DO NOT USE Dr. Howard Goldstein with Christiana UroGYN …. he was a good sergeant however if you have a problem after your surgery he was not a very good follow up Dr. I saw him at least 8 times after my surgery and he wanted to keep putting me in the operating room for things I didn't have wrong with me (I would follow up with a specialist for what he said I had i.e. hernia and IC) when I finally went to an out of state UroGYN he told me at the first visit what was wrong with me and sent me to a pelvic pain specialist…. so in my option if I go to a dr. only one time for the same issue and he tells me with just one visit what is wrong the dr. that was treating me and saw me many times after the surgery can't tell me what is wrong he is just looking for a mortgage payment and not treating his patients as people!!!!

Good morning….I would just talk with your Dr. about the risk of nerve damage…..as with all surgeries it can be a side effect however in my case I had multiple ovary surgeries , 2 very large children and now the bladder and utrural repair…I would have the surgery again I no longer feel like my insides are going to fall out when I walk….if your prolapse is keeping you from enjoying your life then have the surgery god bless and keep me posted praying for a quick recovery

Hi ggm43….I wish you the best of luck and health thru this time…I had prolapse repair surgery done 2 yrs. ago I am glad I had it I no longer feel as if my insides are going to fall out with each step I take however please ask your dr. about nerve damage or interruption with this surgery (mine was bladder and uteral lift done with stiches no mesh) and was left with pundeal nerve interruption…the hardest part was finding a dr. who understood this was a nerve issue I did go to a uro gyn for the surgery and 8 visits after the surgery he still didn't know what was wrong with me….he kept saying it was interstichal cycstis (sorry about the spelling) and it was not I went to another uro gyn out of my state and was correctly diogonest I would recommend the surgery just ask the right question good luck and I will be praying for you

Not real sure what you mean by problem patient? We all are on this site for the same reason to try to help others with advise from our personal experience..i gave my personal honest experience as to what happened with my stiches….think you should rethink your reply if I read the question right "looking for anyone who has had previous prolapse surgery with complications of nerve damage where stich was put"..that was my exact same problem not sure I appreciate being called a problem patient .. sorry if I took it wrong but have never had that tone used to me on this site
