I wish you the best of luck….I too had the bladder lift repair mine was done with stiches no mesh I just wanted to share if you are looking on the East Coast DO NOT USE Dr. Howard Goldstein in the state of DE …. he is a URO/GYN and my surgery was successful I had a pelvic nerve condition and the surgery made it worse he did not know what was wrong with me and wanted to keep doing surgery to try to figure it out I was misdiagnosed for over 1 and 1/2 years seeing over 22 dr.s trying to figure out what was wrong with me he never referred me to other dr.'s within the practice (with this practice thru Christiana care the only one in the state of DE) you can not see any other dr. within that practice so he was refring me to dr.'s for my back, a hernia, then told me I had interstitial cycist never did he refer me to a nerve dr he wanted to do a hysterectomy also refred me to p/t for pelvic floor muscle spasams . I had to go out of state to find a good dr. so this I tell you and any other women on this site so they do not have to go thru the hell I did the out of state dr. (also an URO/GYN) told me after just one visit that it was a nerve issue and sent me to a pelvic pain specializes again just do your homework and make sure it is done by a UR)/GYN….the funny thing is I did all my homework and talked with other dr.s in regards to referring him again he was a good surgent just not if you experience any problems afterwards……I am glad I had the surgery I no longer feel as if my insides are falling out with each step I take…Take care

Yes I take Valerian Root with hops both in capsule form up to 3 times a day always at night it is a nerve tonic so it really dose help with my pelvic nerve pain I work with an herbalist I had to do a lot of cleansing ect. but it has made me feel so much better when I was seeing dr. after dr. after dr….the meds made me very ill so the only meds I do take is for my thyroid and it is a more natural form of the drug then synthic I also sue marshmallow root tea and slippery elm capsules sometimes the nerve pain makes my bladder hurt and this keeps me pain free time has gotten me better thank you I'm glad that your all fixed so to speak

Thank you for your reply and yes I have had surgery for both dr.'s being URO/GYN"S and the last dr. I saw 1 yr ago that removed the eroded stiches said I need no other surgerys and to go see the pelvic pain dr. and when I did last year he gave me a nerve block to the ingual nerve and it was horriable and now this year my inns. doesn't cover him I really don't want to go back to the medial dr.'s every time I saw them I felt worse (the last dr. that removed the stiches did make me feel better) but there is no mesh to be done…I just pray I can get rid of this feeling I am currently doing hops and valerian root but some times this doesn't work as well so I just keep at my cardio and my yoga that seems to be the best thing for me it isn't getting any worse but sometimes I don't think it is any better my gyn doesn't think I will get any better ????

Hello Gardeningjunkie (Love your name)…I have a question you speak of your dropped bladder which hung slightly below the vulva after your hysterectomy when the dr. examined you did they feel or see your dropped bladder? I'm asking because I've had the bladder prolapse corrected with stitching no mesh and have had a sensation of a ball in side of me it moves around I went to a pelvic pain spezlt. and they are saying it is 3 different pelvic nerves and that the surgery was a success also had multi.CAT scans and everything appears fine I had to have 2 of the stiches removed du2 them eroding thru the vaginal wall and the Uro/Gyn said everything was tight and that some women can take years for the nerves to settle down I've tried so many different meds. and they all made me ill I've had much luck with an herbalist I'm just curious as to how you were diagnosed with the bladder dropping again ..thanking you in advance

Thank you for asking the pain in my left side has turned out to be my psoas muscle more then likely the way I was positioned on the operating table because my side never hurt me before so doing yoga and stretching has helped very much…I still have the p/n issue but the pain isn't as bad but yes still with me and I have had to apply for disability inns. I am not able to work I am not able to sit for more then 2 or 3 hours and sometimes not able to walk long distances but I am no longer on the sofa so hopefully I will get better enough to work again some day thank you again

Hello and I wish you the best of luck I do want to add if you are considering surgery and if you are in the state of DE DO NOT use Dr. Howard Goldstein. After my repair for bladder prolapse almost at stage 3 has left me with nerve damage even though the problem has been fixed correctly for 1 and 1/2 years after my surgery and much pain he misdiagnosed me over and over I had to go out of state to see another uro/gyn when you use the dr. thru Christian Care (there is only one practice in the state of DE) you can not go to another dr. in that practice so if you see one and you don't like them or are not happy with your results you can't see any other dr. in the practice you must go out of state please do your homework and I wish you the best of luck
