Sun, Jan 20 9:26pm · Migraines in Chronic Pain

Hello, I am trying to find a group that discusses "weird migraines" I do not have migraines very often but when I do I end up in the hospital because it seems like I am having a stroke. I have only had this happen twice, have been hospitalized both times, stayed for observation both times and after many, many test nothing could be identified and a lot discounted. I have had neurologist do test and nothing seems to appear that would cause the very painful and scarry headaches. I hope that someone may be experiencing this type of situation. usually about three days in the hospital, and given "headache coctails the pain goes away, but I feel foggy and weak for about a week. I am very anxious about it happening when I am by myself. I cannot function, talk, walk, and the pain is terrible. I have a lot of chronic pain issues, and I believe that I know about pain. Anyone have any advise of how I can talk with? Thanks..Peace & Love JJ

Katie, I am 75 and have severe spinal stenosis for many, too many years. I now have a spinal stimulator that has helped immenseily( not sure of spelling). I have had it for over two years, and I am sure that I could not function without it. I* have been told that I will know when the stimular is no longer an option. Seems spine surgery is the next step and I am praying that won't be for a long time. I also have heart problems, periphal neuropothy.
Each day, for me, starts with a new comittment, smile at the pain, keep my sense of humor and be a nice person. I take blood pressure med, fluid retention med., gabapentin 800mg +tramadol 50mg every 6 hrs for the Neuropothy. I also take herbs.
I believe I can understand unrelenting pain and I am so grateful for anything that helps reduce the pain or gives me a little relief.
As far as we tell ourselves that God will fix this or we are being punished for something, we are not listening to what Christ has said, "I am here to give you evertthing you need, now go live your life." It has been my experience that the things that happen to us is due to the world we live in. And all I can do is try to not let it take my life away. I am so very blessed to have those around me that love me, that is when I will let them in…sometimes pain robs us of who we have believed we are, so please don't give up!!! Keep faith and don't let the pain win.
I pray that you have the PEACE that passes all understanding.
PEACE & LOVE……jj (FEMALE:

HI Youngtwin,
Always welcome to this group of amazing people. I truly understand about what you are going through. I have severe stenosis and pheriifal neuropothy.
I have had a spinal stimulator implanted and it helps a great deal. I take gabapentin 800 mg and tramadol every 6 hrs., mostly for the neuropothy, sometimes the tramadol for my back when I stand too much or try to walk without my walker. I now have to use a cane or mostly a walker. Now I am having a lot of shaking in both hands. I am not sure if it is a reactions to some of the meds I take.
I am a female 75 yrs of age, in my earlier years I played sports, exercized everyday, work really hard helping my husband build homes.
I did not listen to advise given to take better care of myself, and this is part of why I am in this condition, I accept this.

All I can share about the whole situation for all of us with chronic pain is sense of humor, and attitude. Keep smiling even though you may hurt like the dickens. I so much agree about the opoids situation, I think we should all get in touch with our local Reps and Congressman. Lets complain about the rules they make for make for EVERYONE!
Take care and keep sharing 🙂
PEACE AND LOVE
