What happened with your surgery? I had both knees replaced. After the first one said I wouldn't do it again but eight months later did the other. It takes at least six months to feel like it was worth it. I am not regretting getting it done. Shot only work for a time and then they don't help
That's not very long post of. Took about four months for my tightness to clear up. PT helping a lot.
I had to smile a little when you said you walk like your leg is made of wood. I said the same thing to my husband. I found that I just needed to try and walk with a normal gait. I was favoring my leg and trying to walk without bending the knee. Once I concentrated on walking normally things improved.
Yes I had that tight band feeling after both my TKR. It took several months for it to go away. I went to PT and she did a lots of work on the knee to loosen it up. Massage the whole knee with Vitamin K oil really helped a lot too. Now post op for two and three years and left knee feels great. Right knee a little tight once in a awhile if I neglect to do my stretching exercises.
