Hey Lacey by the way my nae is Suzi I am so glad to hear from you. I eel a connection even though it is through cyber space. LOL I am so gad that you enjoyed them program I am definitely going to look into it I feel better as well. I live in the county and am taking time to meditate and find my new normal. I m learning that I have to get my mind right first and the physical will come. I stay busy. The weather is cooler now but my sensitivity to the heat is awful I sweat at the drop of the hat. I have begun to start a routine of getting in bed early around 10 and get up at 8 every morning. I drink coffee and put on some morning soft music and sit on my front porch and watch the birds and just enjoy the moment. I am earning to live in the moment and enjoying the day and the second chance at life that God has given me. I hope that you are doing well. Please stay in touch
Blessings

Aug 26, 2016 · Concerned about the side effects of anastrozole in Breast Cancer

Hi Kbare13, I had total reconstruction with out the abdominal fatty tissue because of the time down after. I was not given exercises but did it on my own. I went for physical therapy to work with bands and learning strength exercises. The emotional part is what I did and still do struggle with. Knowing that you are going to be somewhat whole again made me feel better and I focused on the end result. I had a fantastic plastic surgeon and I love the new girls. I did opt for having nipples so that was my last surgery. Your plastic surgeon should tell you lot’s of protein to repair muscles. Stay positive and do exactly what they tell you.
Good luck and prayers

Aug 22, 2016 · Dealing with PTSD in Mental Health

Hi, I am so sorry to hear about you experience it sounds really scary. I have PTSD from breast cancer, horrible chemo that made me so sick that the doctors ran out of ideas to help me get through it pain free etc. I just graduated with a bachelors in health sciences and health and wellness. I studied stress reduction and anxiety. Mindfulness meditation is awesome and if you do not know how to start you can you tube many sites. Another thing that helps me is coloring, aromahterapy and essential oils. When I am trying to get my anxiety and PTSD under control I meditate and use an oil difusser. I also play soothing music especially at night. Deep breathing exercises can help as well. There will probably be times that nothing will work and you just have to ride through it. I also take Busbar and I find it helps a lot.
You are in my prayers.

Happy Saturday to you too. Yes the sun is shinning here and it is actually cool outside here today a nice break from the 100 degree weather we have been having. I like to sit on my front porch and watch the birds and listen to nature as the earth wakes up to say good morning. Livestrong is fantastic. I get their news letters. I will look into that as there is no local group. I live is a small town that does not have much to offer. I am forced to go on line to look for support. You have been terrific. I am here for you as well.

Hang in there girl. Use your family to help keep you motivated to keep going. Listen to your body. I pray for all of us.

Thank you Lacey you have been such a great help and I will pray for you. There is no support group near here and I hear what you are saying. Fortunately my boys are 16 and 18 and can help. I live on 3 acres and love getting outside in the fresh air. Things are crazy now right before school starts but once it does my boys will be gone all day. I am just tired of feeling bad.

Lacey I know my body will never be the same like it was before cancer. I am trying to find my “new normal”. It is a painful journey but I am a fighter and I will keep fighting not only for myself but for my children and to be an example to other breast cancer survivors.
God bless you too 🙂
