Old habits are the hardest to break, says James Levine, a professor of medicine at Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, Ariz., and author of Get Up! Why Your Chair Is Killing You and What You Can Do About It. Older adults “are much more set in their ways,” than younger adults or children, he says.
