A new study reports that people who develop type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure later in life are more likely to suffer brain damage that may lead to dementia. The authors of the study found that people who are middle age and develop diabetes had brains that were 2.9% on average smaller than people who didn’t have diabetes in middle age.
