It works with our stem cells. If we can just keep from fracturing for a few years til A I speeds up the approval of this - or something like it - we can avoid the horrible drugs and still get our lives back.

What an encouraging article! Thank you for sharing. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for more information on this.

Thank you for sharing. Just as chemotherapy is now being replace by immunotherapy for many cancers, with much fewer side effects then in the past, so, will likely be true for osteoporosis in the future.

Read that article; very encouraging that there may someday be something that improves our bone health and doesn't come with a huge list of potentially awful side effects. What we have now are "powerful" medicines that MIGHT help our bones; some have improvement some not so much (or none). Would be nice if there was something that works beyond "at least you are not worse". Hopeful for my daughter who at 32 has been on Synthroid (not good for bones) for a couple of years; I've told her to be vigilant about bone health (diet, supplements) and insist on a DEXA way before age 65!

I’d want to see a whole lot more studies and would want to know the whole process. They say collecting and altering cells from the bone marrow. Somehow I don’t think it’s going to be that easy but it would be nice.
