Hi Patty,
I'm also incontinent. I use Poise 6 during the day and 8 at night. If I have to go somewhere I wear both of them. They work great. However, they are rather expensive and with gas at $5 a gallon we have to be careful of our funds. I discovered when I'm at home that I can put a washcloth over the pad with a thin layer of toilet paper on the washcloth. It cuts down on the number of pads you have to use during the day. I hope this suggestion is helpful.

Hi @chattypatty719 -
I have been using
Rael Incontinence Pads for Women, Organic Cotton Cover (Moderate, 60 Ct)
and they work for me. I order these through Amazon.

Of course, if one has unexpected floods, women's rubber panties can be a real help.

I buy Poise at Costco. A box of 108 costs $42.00

It depends (no pun!) on what I’m doing that day. I travel a lot and use pull ups if I fear I’ll be hours away from a bathroom (or going to an outdoor protest event). The pull ups I use are “Always discreet,” and for every day pads when bathrooms are near (home, shopping) I like Poise 3 or Always discreet 4.

Northshore offers really heavy duty options that are great and reliable but expensive. I bought those online and they offer tear away options.

Pull ups are not convenient when away from home because they require to half undress to change them. But I may try your recommendation. This incontinence really pisses me off. (Pun intended. 😇

I completely agree on both counts - pullups are inconvenient due to the need to undress, and incontinence pisses me off too! The good thing about pull-ups is they provide true peace of mind UNTIL the urine flows and they need changing. At that point you can still wear them for a while but not really comfortably and you’ve got to undress to put on a new one. The ones that tear away are great, but the replacement pad still requires undressing to get it on.

Incontinence affects me daily and it takes intentional effort to minimize its effect on what I want to do. I need to drink a lot of fluids to minimize foot and leg cramps at night, so strategic hydrating is also on my mind daily depending on my plan’s for the day.

Good luck to all of us! Stay active and be strong!
