Where to purchase 7% saline without prescription?

Posted by lindenflower @lindenflower, Sep 25 10:55am

Hi friends,
I’m having hard time getting 7% saline- my insurance doesn’t cover it.
If I purchase it with cash from my pharmacy, I was told, I risk to lose my insurance.
Do you know of places that sell legitimate 7% saline without prescription?
I’m tired of making it, it takes a lot of time every day.

@lindenflower When I did not have coverage for 7% saline, I purchased BaseLabs or Naveh brands on Amazon. I believe other members have used RespEase brand from there as well.

@lindenflower My insurance would not cover it either so I had the prescription transferred to Walgreens and use the Goodrx coupon. Costs me $22 for 60 vials (4ml). I typically use Publix but they don't accept Goodrx, so their price was double. I don't understand how you risk losing your insurance by paying cash for a prescription. Hopefully someone else will chime in, but I never heard of that

@sueinmn Sue, I was wondering when you order sodium chloride from Amazon if it needs to say “hypertonic” solution for inhalation? I wasn’t aware that Amazon carried it. I’ve been paying $48 for it at Publix. Thanks for this information.

@lindabreathless try searching for 7% saline vials. The cheapest ones do not say sterile, but the ones I listed are sterile.

Still trying to get Medicare to cover thru my DME provider. For the time being getting at Kroger because my Walgreen supplier can’t get it in. Kroger has some discount, but not as much as GoodRx

I get a 90 day prescription from Walgreens. 3 boxes for about $43.00.
