Weird Foot Muscle/Tendon Issue

Posted by @bigorangesu in Bones, Joints & Muscles, Dec 16, 2011

I was running on the tread mill on tuesday and hurt something on the top right side of my left foot. I was in alot of pain for a few days when I was walking but now im not really in that much pain. The really weird thing is that when I move my big toe, I can feel something move (physically with my hand) about 3 or 4 inches from the base of my big toe. It almost feels like a guitar string being plucked, the vibrations. I feel them up among a line from my big toe to base of ankle centered around 3 to 4 inches up from the base of my big toe. Is this serious or is it just strained? Thanks

If your foot is still sore maybe you should see a podiatrist. A specialist trained to examine your feet can do an xray if you think you might have a stress fracture or something. That is possible if you repeatedly traumatize your feet by running on a treadmill. If it is a ligament or muscle you've torn or strained, the doctor can help you with that. I wouldn't wait around if you're still in pain, if you popped a ligament or something you'd need to have it repaired before it heals incorrectly. Good luck.
