Want to connect with other parents who have a young adult child with Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Posted by @marska124 in Cancer, May 16, 2012

My 26 yr old single daughter was recently diagnosed with stage III B Hodgkins Lymphoma and is getting chemo (AVBD) every two weeks. Her 6th infusion was today. She looks and feels terrible, but her doctor says she is responding well to treatment.
I quit my job , told my beloved husband I would return to him as soon as possible, jumped in the SUV and drove 1300 miles to be with our darling daughter cuz she cannot possibly do this on her own ( i.e. without her mom! )
I'd like to connect with other parents who have gone through this with their children/ families to share strategies , coping, independence vs dependence issues, finances, how you have readjusted your lives and what the outcome has been.
Thanks everyone for your help.

I am not a mom of someone with this cancer but I had this same cancer type at the age of 44. Not a lot that can be done during treatment. Ur world revolves around it till next one but it will be over before you know it. I am in remission....6 years....9 months tx
