waking up numb from the waist down

Posted by Anonymous-3a9705e7 in Brain & Nervous System, Apr 18, 2012

I am wondering if anyone else knows anything about what is going on with me. Ive had problems for years of being awakened with pain. For the last month I have been waking up in severe pain and being numb from the waist down,it really hurts bad enough that it makes me hollar and there is no way i can even stand up before i move around enough to start getting my feeling back. Its very scary and i would love to hear from anyone who has had this happen or who knows what might be going on.

Yes, i have & still do have it, Mine is from bones in my back or my spine being worked on so much & being so weak... I have nuts, bolts & screws in my back & neck trying to hold it together. I also have RA, & 2 other arthrithis that I don't know how to spell. I'm 60 years old, and I know the pain is so bad that I hate it when it happen when I'm walking. I fell last month & couldn't move for 4 days. I went to the hospital & still they didn.t find anything but 2 more disk in my back was messed up.. Which I told them that. I hope you can get to a good place like the MAyo Clinic for your care.. It's alot more scaryer went you are walking & the pain hit you & u r on the floor..... Best of luck to you. Grams W
