Waiting for surgery: How to manage the pain while I wait?
Since the Covid-19 I have to wait for Mayo Clinic to open up for elective surgeries. I have a lot of pain. I know I have sent the reason why before. Just can hardly wait I have so much pain.

@lilypaws That must have been very encouraging to feel no pain after the test. We are rooting for you and will waiting to hear how things are going on each step along the way.
It is completely natural to be anxious, and depressed too, with all of this going on. It sounds as if this will be history in the not too distant future though.

@lioness Thank you for responding. I do read all that is sent to me. My surgery is June 9th. On May 18th I have a whole bunch of tests. You name them and I'm having them. Thank you for your good thoughts, all will go well. Blessings
@contentandwell Thank you so much for your encouragement it means a lot to me. It won't be long till the 18th is here and I will get all those test done. I don't mind any of them. MRI don't even bother me although they do offer sedation. Thank you for rooting for me all will be well. I have a great surgeon and have great confidence in him. Take care and enjoy your trips. Blessings Think positive!
@lilypaws I had the date wrong June 9th will put this on my calendar Good luck lots of prep I hear that will be one step closer to your big day .
@lioness You are so special to me. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts on my surgery day. The next day I get rest! Yea. But they might have to go in again on the 11th. All the tests I'm doing will help them make that decision. It's still down for them to go into the front on the 9th and my back on the 11th. Jeanie
@lilypaws . I missed the type of surgery you are having . What is it again?
@lioness I'm having a fusion done on my lower back from T-10 to pelvis. It's a big surgery. They might have to do both sides, depending on what my tests show. So on June 9th, then a day to rest and then the 11th if they need to. Thanks for asking. Jeanie

To all my friends at Mayo Connect. I will be at Mayo On May 17, 18th, & 19th. Please do not send any posts to me on those days. My surgery is scheduled for the 9th, but I will be at May on the 7th through Monday the 15th of June Please do not send any posts to me on those dates. I do not want to come home and go through a lot of posts. I know you all are so kind and want to know how things go for me and I will let you know when I feel up to getting posts again and give you all the information. It will be quite an experience for me, I will be on 3 meds for my pain, so not sure how I will do once I get home, but will take the time to post you if I can. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I love and pray for all of you. @lilypaws
