UTI & prolapsed bladder
I have had many UTI & antibiotics, and will not take anymore. I came on here sometime ago but did'nt know how to connect discovered 500mg Cranberry capsules & a friend told me her gyno sad to take D- Mannose so I took them both for awhile then just took Cranberry. After couple of weeks I started having half caf coffee & having a sweet dessert. I always have 64oz of H20 everyday & reg tea. Bingo! back came the UTU. I am 86 & donot want surgery. Any ideas?

I have a chronic UTI and multidrug resistance. I have been managing with 36mg of PAC and D-mannoseplus Hiprex. I still have symptoms but they are more manageable. I am under the care of an Infectious disease doctor who monitors me carefully. Next step is IV or bladder instillations.

1 Reaction@marj1 and @carrie46 the Bladder Conditions support group is relatively new. Before there was just a Kidney Conditions support group. There is a box under the original discussions post that says “Interested in more discussions like this? Go to the Bladder Conditions Support Group.” The words “Bladder Conditions” is in blue. If you press on that you will see lots of discussions where members are talking about UTI, prolapsed bladder, incontinence, cranberry supplements, D-Mannose ….and more. You can join any that are of interest to you.
@marj1 I’m sorry it sounds as though you have not been welcomed to Mayo Clinic Connect. WELCOME! Do you have questions or concerns regarding UTI &/or prolapsed bladder that members may be able to address? How are you doing?
@carrie46 I’m not sure what you mean by bladder instillations. Could you explain more? How are you feeling?
