UOAA (United Ostomy Associations of America) is soliciting petition signatures to support advocacy against new CMS regulations that will adversely affect those with traditional Medicare once they become effective:

Dear Advocates,

As you may be aware, UOAA and many other stakeholders have been advocating for almost a year on a national campaign regarding the recent CMS ruling to include ostomy and urological supplies in Medicare's Competitive Bidding program.

Competitive bidding would rely on the lowest bidder to provide these supplies through a small set of national suppliers, eliminating access to community providers and reducing patient access, choice of product, and quality of care.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) continues to move forward with implementing competitive bidding of these supplies through less than 10 national suppliers.

We want to show Medicare the widespread opposition to competitive bidding of these supplies! Make your voice heard by adding your name to the national petition.
