Tymlos and fatigue

Posted by charliesmom52 @charliesmom52, Jan 15, 2025

2 weeks on the medication, fatigue is my only side effect. I take enough supplements, so I can rule that out. I drink lots, so dehydration is not my issue. Eat and exercise properly. I started at 80 and yesterday day 15 I dropped it to 60. Less fatigue. I plan to discuss with my physician in 2 days. I am hoping to inch up to full dose again in 1 week. Good thing I'm retired. I take my shot in the PM. Wondering how others have adjusted and in what time frame.

Hello, in my first month of Tymlos, and I started week one on half dose. I had some fatigue towards end of week. Increased to full dose second week. Injections were taken at bedtime. More persistent fatigue a few days later, in late afternoon and evening. Called nurse at manufacturer and she suggested changing time to morning. My bone specialist concurred after I ensured all I was staying hydrated. This seems to be working in week three! No more noticeable fatigue.

I took the full 80 mcg dose of Tymlos for 16 days. My main side effect was a strong internal dry heat, especially at night, and I couldn’t tolerate it. My doctor asked me to stop for one week to see how I felt. After stopping, the internal heat is less intense, but she said it’s not related to Tymlos.

Did you reduce your dose on your own? I asked my doctor about lowering the dose, but she doesn’t allow dose adjustments. She told me to take the full dose every other day for one week and then return to the full daily dose. I’m scared to restart, so I haven’t gone back on it yet.
