TKR 13 months extreme swelling
My TKR was done over a year ago. The swelling has never went down. Knee was drained several times after it was healed. I just had a bone scan. Nothing is loose and it seems to look fine. The surgeon has scheduled me to have the inner lining replaced called a poly exchange. Or if needed once in there possibly a revision. Has anyone had this? I’m super nervous about a 2nd surgery with the healing process then possibly another fail!

Get second and third opinions first. Check out each doctor's specialties and experience levels. Look into sonar shockwave therapy to help with healing. Keep elevating each day to help it drain. Review the types of physical exercise you are currently doing. My knee doesn't swell any more unless I stand on concrete too long or lean on it when standing; and I still don't do one-legged standing exercises because they really flare it up. Going upstairs still makes it swell. It's been 14 months since surgery for me and I can walk half an hour and go down the stairs now. It's a long, slow, miserable process. I hope your knee gets better soon.
