TIREDNESS

Posted by @lmallen, Aug 6, 2017

My husband is being treated for mycobacterium avium. The regime is going successfully but he is continually exhausted. Any tips for boosting his energy?

Hi, @lmallen. Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. Glad to hear your husband’s treatment is going well. So sorry to hear he is so tired.
We have a very active MAC & Bronchiectasis group here on Mayo Clinic Connect, and I’m sure some of our members would be happy to chime in with some thoughts on the exhaustion.
You will note in this post (in a very long thread) and the one following it the tiredness issue is discussed. https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/9937/bookmark/?ajax_hook=action&_wpnonce=714ecb7716
I am also inviting @unicorn and @jilltpayne who were talking about dealing with exhaustion during MAC treatment to share their thoughts with you.
When was your husband diagnosed?

Greetings. I had hoped to find the long thread on fatigue with MAC, but the thread is not highlighted and it does not work when I cut and paste it into my browser. If anyone has the working link I’d love it if you passed it along to us. Cheers.
