HEEEELP! Anybody here have any experience with tinnitus? I’m. Just about at the
End of my rope. I’ve been aware of it since my teens but the past twenty yrs it has
Become the elephant in the room. It is so loud I can’t read much consecutively without re-reading, thoughts and words get caught in the blender of noise that I can’t recall them or even the topic, not alzheimers yet. Within the past months
I’ve noticed a neck pain sensitive to the touch along side my larynx maybe my thyroid. It feels like an artery as the pain is pulse related, approx. 1 inch long on the right side. I’ve had ears hearing tested and I have a drop in the mid band 8khz region boths ears . Thnx paul

I’ve had tinnitus for the past year. It started. With a tooth infection, since then. I’ve had three root canals two were retreats. The one I had in June seems to have caused fluid build up on my head. I have a full slooshing feeling in my head with intermittent ringing in my ears. My Dr. Ordered a CT scan of my sinuses which came back clear. I’m taking decongestants and flonase but the fullness and.ringing persist. Has anyone experienced this

I would try to find a naturalpathic doctor – someone with a actual degree. Have them do muscle testing. It is a type of testing to find what the cause is. My natualpathic doctor has done wonders for me. He even cured my mothers cancer.

I have had tinnitus in one ear for 16 years. No cause has been identified, but I was under a great deal of stress at the time and I think that probably accounts for it. Also I had taken benadryl and had the tinnitus for a short period. Because the literature on benadryl (and many other drugs) lists tinnitus as a possible side effect, SMART ME, I decided to test it and took benadryl 50 mgm again. That time I got the tinnitus and it did not go away–not in 16 years anyway. I have lost most of the hearing in that ear. Yes, it almost drove me crazy for some time, especially dealing with the hearing loss, too. I prayed for God to take the tinnitus away and give me back my hearing. Instead, He allowed me to adjust to it and learn to tune the sound out. When I think about it, it is definitely still there, but for the most part, does not bother me a lot. Like you, I wouold still love to hear if there is a cure. An audiologist told me that the hearing loss was so much that she did not think fixing my broken hearing aid would make enough difference for what it would cost. Recently, I found a hearing aid that does help and it does not turn up the volume of the tinnitus. It is Neutronic Ear which you can learn about at http://www.neutronicear.com. Cost $500. I wish you all good luck in finding a cure or at least learning to live with the tinnitus.

I have this, turned out to be part of the blepharospasms plus which affects other parts of the face, ears, mouth, and neck. I get botox shots for this, I seen a lot of ENTs, ear specialist and this is what they recommended. It works, The clicking noise and pain was horrible on top of everything thing else. My neck hurts and pulsates too, my hearing is great I just have a lot of interference, once it stops I am able to hear and sleep, that was irritating at night. Oh I saw a neurologist for the shots.

I have had the problem for three years; my doctor said there was nothing to do about it. I have learned to live with it; drove me nuts at first, but it is possible to adjust and now it is hardly noticable most of the time.

I have tinnitus with mild symptoms in the Summer but beginning in the Fall, the ringing is very loud with migraines. I had a neck injury on a roller coaster about 5 years ago and wonder if there is a connection. After several MRIs and doctor’s visits, it is back this year. I am wondering now if the season change is a factor. Would love to read other experiences.

This is very familiar! The tinnitus started about 4 years ago after having migraines for a few months. The migraines came out of the blue and only come in the Fall/winter months. I am being treated at the chiropractor with acupuncture for a sinus problem even though my symptoms are mild. I have pressure also in my head and face area. I have had several clear MRIs.

Please try accupuncture – my tinnitus was 98% gone within 6 treatments – not usually covered by insurance but worth it. The first night it was gone I had wonderful sleep – had the tinnitus for about 20 years. I wish doctors would tell us about accupuncture. Luckily I have an ENT who suggested I try.
