Thoracic outlet syndrome

Posted by @okoboji97 in Brain & Nervous System, Jan 2, 2012

I have been injured 3 times from whiplash, for the past 3 years my right wrist feels like I have a rubber band around it and no blood flow. I'm ready to loose my mind. I have been to doctors who tell me it's not carpel tunnel and that there is some deterioration in my neck. My hand is numb all the time and I can push on my neck, right above the collar bone and relieve all symptoms. I have tried acupuncture, etc.

Hello -
I am unsure if you are aware of this but Mayo has some information available online at: http://www.mayoclinic.org/thoracic-outlet-syndrome/. Otherwise, if you are interested in seeing a Mayo Clinic physician in either MN, FL or AZ, please click on the "Request an Appointment" link on the upper right hand corner of your screen.
I hope you feel better soon.

Hi @saplawton, welcome to Connect.
I moved your message about Thoracic outlet syndrome to the Brain & Nervous System group where you can connect with other people with similar situations, like @okoboji97 who stated this discussion thread. I'm also tagging @tweetertot @weezee who have also talked about thoracic outlet syndrome and who will hopefully return to share their experiences.

@saplawton, what therapy or treatment have you tried so far?
